This Entertainer Code of Conduct (“Code”) sets the standards of behaviour, professionalism and responsibility expected from entertainers registered with Out There Entertainments (“we”, “us”, “our”, “OTE”). By joining the platform, maintaining a membership or accepting a booking through OTE, you agree to follow this Code at all times.
1. Professional Behaviour
Entertainers must act professionally, respectfully and reliably when representing themselves or OTE. This includes maintaining a positive attitude, being respectful toward clients, guests, venues and OTE staff, responding to communication promptly and conducting yourself in a way that reflects well on the entertainment industry and the OTE platform.
2. Accuracy of Profile Information
Entertainers must provide accurate, honest information about who they are and what they offer. This includes accurate pricing when quoting, up-to-date availability, truthful descriptions of services, suitable photos and videos that reflect your act, correct contact information and no misleading statements. Profiles must not contain offensive, inappropriate or copyrighted materials without permission.
3. Communication Expectations
Entertainers must reply to OTE and client messages as quickly as reasonably possible, notify OTE immediately if availability changes, report any issues affecting a booking, confirm arrival times, requirements or details before an event and keep communication polite, clear and professional at all times.
4. Event Attendance & Punctuality
Entertainers must arrive on time for all confirmed bookings, allow adequate travel time to avoid delays, prepare setup and soundcheck within reasonable timeframes, perform for the agreed duration and avoid any behaviour that risks missing or delaying the booking. No-shows or repeated lateness may result in removal from the platform.
5. Equipment & Technical Requirements
Entertainers are responsible for providing their own equipment unless otherwise agreed. You must bring suitable, safe and functional equipment, ensure electrical equipment is maintained properly, communicate technical needs in advance and be prepared for reasonable venue variations. OTE is not responsible for equipment issues, failures or technical problems at the venue.
6. Behaviour During Events
Entertainers must act safely and respectfully at all events. This includes no abusive behaviour, no discrimination or harassment, no illegal activity, no reckless behaviour, no actions that endanger clients or guests and no excessive intoxication or substance misuse. If you consume alcohol, it must not affect your performance or professionalism.
7. Social Media Conduct
Entertainers must not post defamatory or harmful comments about clients, venues, other entertainers or OTE. Performances or event content must not be shared publicly without permission when required. Content created by OTE must be credited when used.
8. Cancellations
If an entertainer cannot attend a confirmed booking, they must notify OTE immediately. Entertainers are fully responsible for any refunds or compensation owed to the client due to cancellation. OTE does not handle refunds on behalf of entertainers. Repeated cancellations or last-minute withdrawals may result in removal from the platform.
9. Safety & Legal Compliance
Entertainers must comply with safety rules, venue policies and legal requirements relevant to entertainment performance. This includes using safe equipment, recognising limits of crowd interaction, adhering to licensing rules where applicable and ensuring performances do not breach venue restrictions or local laws.
10. Respect for Clients & Venues
Entertainers must show respect for all event environments. This includes maintaining a clean working area, treating the venue’s equipment and property with care, avoiding disruptive behaviour and following all instructions from venue management. Any damage caused may be the entertainer’s responsibility.
11. Complaints & Misconduct
If a complaint is submitted against an entertainer, OTE may investigate by reviewing relevant communication, booking details or submitted evidence. Verified misconduct may result in a warning, suspension or permanent removal from the platform without refund of membership fees. Serious breaches may result in immediate removal.
12. Confidentiality & Data
Entertainers must not misuse personal data obtained through bookings. Client information must be kept confidential, used only for booking purposes and never shared or misused.
13. Off-Platform Payments & Conduct
If a booking uses an off-platform payment method, entertainers must still behave professionally and comply with all OTE rules. OTE reserves the right to review conduct and take action regardless of payment method.
14. Zero Tolerance Policy
OTE enforces a zero-tolerance policy for violence, harassment, discrimination, hate speech, unsafe behaviour or illegal activity. Any entertainer involved in such behaviour will be removed immediately.
15. Removal From the Platform
OTE may remove an entertainer without refund if they breach this Code, behave unprofessionally, misrepresent themselves, receive consistent negative feedback, fail to attend bookings or endanger the reputation or safety of the OTE community.
16. Acceptance of This Code
By signing up to OTE, maintaining a membership, using the platform or accepting bookings, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to this Entertainer Code of Conduct.
